with all due respect...i'm in utah and find it hard to get excited about a concert in europe...any u.s. concerts planned???? would love to see donovan.

Hi Donovan, Since you live in Cork dont you think you should do some smaller more intimate shows down the country like Waterford or Kilkenny or even Cork. Its impossible to get to a concert in the middle of the week in Dublin. I would love to see you live, Please Please consider doing a few smaller shows for us country people.

Judy and I saw you at Bumbershoot in Seattle several years ago - a great experience, lovely show! Hope you make it back to the U.S. Pacific Northwest again someday soon.

i would love to see you in a normal concert, where we get to see 2 hrs of you and just you.. or with a band. I last saw you In Southend where my Dad saw your first show !

I started collecting your music back in 1965, since then I have been lucky enough to meet you twice, once in the 70's backstage at the Bickershaw Festival and then in the early 90's when you did a street concert with Arlo Guthrie in Orlando Florida. Great memories and great music. Hopefully I'll get another chance as I'll be at The Moseley Folk Festival in September. In an age when 60's icons are fading fast it's refreshing to see and hear that your music is as clear and beautiful as it's always been.

I was born in 66 but my mum was a big fan.She still has the,A Gift...box set with all the lovely illustrations.I was distracted by punk etc but now have gone back to donovan stuff,it has a lovely un-cynical sense of appreciation of being alive that seems missing from the world sometimes.

we were at the "festival du bout du monde" in Crozon ! it was great ! and really fun... but no encore !
We bougth the disc, we love it !

You used to do lots of "civic" hall concerts In the uK organized by lovely people, where you were close to and could meet your fans.. Why do you not play around the Uk any more except festivals??

I don't think donovan will see this but i will try any ways. please come do a LA. My name is neal and i am 17 years old and i love your music so much. I do not like all these new bands. you are one of the very few artist and i do mean artist from the 60s who has not sold out or died and on top of that you can still sing! i love the new songs also it has been pretty much the only pice of new music i have liked that has been made in the last 20 years. you can still make great songs that mean some thing and i thank you for that. once again thank you for all the great music over the years. can't wait for the new album!

Excellent night watching Donovan at the Evolution Festival yesterday. Everyone enjoyed the performance and it was great to see Donovan play again. Would certainly recommend catching him at any other festivals.

Does anyone know what time Donovan will be on stage at the Evolution festival on Monday?

I have many times and I wasn't really aware of his magic til frisco in the 80's an I was born late missing his wave of music now I hook all generations of music into my playlist and people my age tease me about being a flower child I didn't see that because of Donovan I think because he was before us and I live and breathe his lyrical eccentric individual style . Am SO excited to see Donovan in May - been waiting my whole life to see him. Last time had tickets (Bridgewater Hall in Manchester) the tour was canceled. I hope there will be an indoor tour as well this year as I am in West Cornwall and these festivals are all so far away, if this really is his last year of touring then I want to fit in as many gigs as possible!

I saw you perform in Flordia in 1969 or 1970. You wore a light blue, flowing, silky, arabian type of covering and sang tunes from The Gift From a Flower to a Garden i believe. I like to remember that you did any way. I was all of 22 years old then while I am 63 now. I loved your music then and still do. As a youngster I taught myself to play guitar and learned a few of your songs - especially, the one where "you watch the ants crawl across my feet." Down in Mexoco" Keep making music "D" You are one of a few who reaches the Light, shows us the Light, lives the Light.

Is it possible for Mr. Donovan Leicht to tour around the world? There's lots of people here in Argentina who wants to appreciate his genius work live.
I've just been inducted to his music, and each and every song that I get to listen seems to remind of a past time that I might have lived. It's one of the oddest things that i've ever experienced.

Love the new look site...I am eager to see Donovan this year! In July 2008 I gave birth to my baby daughter to the sounds of the Sutra album! It was a very lovely birth and the music kept me so blissed out between the pains. So thanks for that Donovan!

Hi Donovan. Just want to say that you are the reason i love the sixties and compose the folk style of songs i make now. I pulled a live tape out when i was about 12, i had already learned the basics of guitar, and was so moved by this tape that i gradually adapted my own way of playing your songs, so that they were easy to play. I have learned more of the tricks since then, and as a result of your influence, i am also a firm fan of Love, the beatles, Nick drake the incredible string band bob dylan and general sixties music.

I was also wondering if you like Karl Jenkins/Adiemus music at all. at your latest concert in Munich, i was pleased to see you kept the song Lalena very true to the arrangement that is included in the live album i was talking about. Starts with Jennifer Juniper, then Catch the wind, the hurdy gurdy man, sunshine superman, sadness ect, and included very rare gems like Love will find a way, and your other songs are arranged in a much nicer dreamy way in my opinion, and it would be nice to see you perform your songs similar to the way you did then.
